Long weekends are the best!

Lily and Enzo at Uncle Shawn's game!! Lily loved the caterpillar gummies Mimi brought to the game!

I decided to take this last Friday off since I haven't taken a day off of work yet this school year! Much needed! Plus my dad had a conference tournament game on Friday at 2:00, so it worked out nicely that I conveniently took the day off! The Bruins lost, so their season ended a little sooner this year. Porter is getting so big!!
We went to my cousins game on Saturday. He had a double header, and then we drove out to Andy's little brother's games. He played three games on Saturday!!! They did really well.
Saturday we barbecued hamburgers at my parents, and made a fire. We roasted marshmallows! The weather has been beautiful (for Utah), so we decided to take advantage of it! This week is supposed to be warm and sunny all week! I am loving the nice weather. It makes training for my race so enjoyable. I put off my long run this weekend because the sun went down so fast on Saturday after the baseball games so tomorrow I'm excited to get out in the sunshine and break a bead!!!ha!! It was a lovely weekend, plus daylight savings makes summer feel that much closer! I love it!

The last year...sort of

These are so out of order, but I guess I don't really care! It is pretty much an update for the last year. We had Christmas at the Wright's this year, and it was so much fun! Andy's brother and his wife came up from Arizona, so it was really fun to spend time with them. We had a Christmas sleepover, and loved every minute of it!
Sweet Afton during Christmas!
Heading to the Wrights over Christmas break to hang out!
This was during the summer....long time ago. We went to Andy's companion's homecoming in Vegas and met Brian and Kaitlyn there. Way fun!

Freezing cold in Lake Tahoe with the Fosters. We were expecting sunny, warm weather, but it decided to snow!
Ok, confession! I am in love with chipmunks!!! Some people are probably thinking something is wrong with me, but I just love em. In Tahoe they were so used to people and being fed that they came right up to you! I was in heaven!!
This is a view from a hike we went on.
We went to Emerald Point. The hike really pretty, but a little chilly!!
I graduated from Southern Utah University in education last Spring!!
Our nephew Porter is getting so big!

Afton is out of control and the world's girliest girl!

life so far

I feel like blogging without a couple of pictures is kind of lame, but I keep delaying posting so oh well. Not to mention I think maybe 3 people read our blog, but ha here ya go.
Andy is going to school at the BYU Salt Lake extension, and really enjoys it. He is super busy all the time. He stopped working for his dad, so that he can focus on school. I leave for work and he starts studying, when I get home he's studying, and after we eat dinner, he's studying. He is such a hard worker, and has seriously taught me to be diligent. I work at Sunset Elem. teaching full day kindergarten. I love it! My kids absorb so much, and they teach me everyday. I have a journal I keep of the funny things they say and wow! I just gotta say I love my job.
I don't know if it's just me not use to the blogging world, but I almost feel weird putting all of our life happenings on here. I think i'm just out of the loop. Well, I have a really good friend Luchelle Rose. We pretty much grew up together, and through all of school and life we have stayed pretty good friends. She is the type of friend who you can miss a couple of months of talking to each other, and when you plan to go to lunch or get together, it's like you didn't miss a beat. Anyways, we are running the Salt Lake Half Marathon! I am so excited for it. This will be my first race. I have been training for it, and love it. If you asked me that at the beginning I would have said, "Ya...maybe I will make time to do it tomorrow." I got a really bad cold right at the beginning of the training, and then I got the flu and it lasted for almost 4 days. Not good!! I am so grateful to be healthy and able to train hard. I forget how in shape you are when you play soccer. It just sort of slips away faster than you realize, so I'm glad I have this to keep me going. Well I will update this week with pictures. We are celebrating Chinese New Year tonight. A Wilcox tradition!!

Update

So this is mostly for my sis Kaitlyn. However, I never update my blog so I think it's about time. Andy is finishing up finals and has begun a semester at BYU all in the same week. We moved from Sandy out to Centerville closer to our families. I finished my student teaching mid April! Wow!! The best feeling ever. Easter was so fun. Saturday we spent with the Wright's. We had a big breakfast, decorated eggs, went on an Easter egg hunt with Ethan, Lily, and Lorenzo, and finished it all off with a nap! Sunday we went to church with my parents, had brunch, did the whole baskets thing, and had an Easter egg hunt for Afton. We went up to my Grandma's for cousin birthdays that night! I am teaching swimming lessons this summer, along with another job..that is still being settled, and Andy is going to school pretty much full time. This weekend is going to be so fun! My dad is graduating from the U and walks on Friday night! Saturday morning we're driving down to Cedar so I can walk! I never thought my dad and I would graduate in the same weekend, but I wouldn't want it any other way! I think it's awesome! A fun party weekend!! Well if anything eventful comes up. I will try and be a better blogger. I'm also awwwwful at taking pictures, so I'm going to work on that and put some up!

Well this was the place! Our first apartment together as a newly married couple. I loved that place, then I hated it, and now I just miss it. We are done living in Cedar City and have moved up North. We love being close to family and friends, but as everyone knows, there is something about moving away. When you first start out, it gives you a sense of independence, while at the same time it allows you to depend on each other! The holidays were so fun with our families! We are so blessed to have family so close who love us so much! Well..Andy starts school soon and I start student teaching and we are both excited to get back to a schedule and some structure in our lives! Plus it means we are that much closer to the snow going away!!
